Rhön Klinikum Bad Neustadt (Clinic for Cardiology II) has been certified as an “Atrial Fibrillation Center – DGK (German Society for Cardiology – Heart and Circulation Research e.V.) since May 2020. This certification once again confirms the expertise in the field of cardiovascular diseases.
The certificate attests that the hospital meets the criteria of the DGK for atrial fibrillation centers: These include structural, personnel and equipment/technical requirements as well as well-established and well-coordinated treatments, treatment paths and management of typical potential complications. An essential part of the certification process is the assessment of the quality of atrial fibrillation ablation. In their summary statement, the experts speak of “a high-volume center with excellent personnel and infra-structural equipment”.
